Love is a choice
"...That you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land He swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob"
Love is a choice and a commitment. You choose to love or you choose not to love.
Today we've bought into this myth that love is uncontrollable, that it's something that just happens to us; it's not something we control. In fact, even the language we use implies the uncontrollability of love. We say, "I fell in love," as if love is some kind of a ditch. It's like I'm walking along one day and bam!—I fell in love. I couldn't help myself.
But I have to tell you the truth: that's not love. Love doesn't just happen to you. Love is a choice and it represents a commitment.
There's no doubt about it, attraction is uncontrollable and arousal is uncontrollable. But attraction and arousal are not love. They can lead to love, but they are not love. Love is a choice.
You must choose to love God; he won't force you to love Him (Deuteronomy 30:20). You can thumb your nose at God and go a totally different way. You can destroy your life if you choose to do that. God still won't force you to love Him. Because He knows love can't be forced.
And this same principle is true about your relationships: you can choose to love others, but God won't force you to love anyone.

Love
"We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19)
What is love all about?
Love is a feeling beyond just a like. When you love a person, you would sacrifice whatever you need juz for him/her. Everyone want and need to live in an environment that is filled with love. Just imagine, if u come to an environment that is filled of anger, no love, sadness, what u feel... i believe you will feel uncomfortable, and if possible u juz wants to stay away from all that rite?
In 1 John, Bible said "We love because God first loved us. We began to love and know how to love, because we experience and learnt how to love... The reason God wants us to love is because He is love, and He had created us in His own image, so that we can be like him—to love. The only reason we're able to love is because God loves us: "Love comes from God...because God is love" (1 John 4:7-8).
We were created by God in His own image to do two things on earth, which are Learn to love God, and learn to love other people. Life is all about love.
But love is all started with God. He first loved us and that so He gives us the ability to love others. The only reason we can love God or love anybody else is when us experience the love of God, who He first loved us. And He shower us with the love by sending Jesus Christ, His only begotten son, to the earth to die for us. He showed that love by creating us. He showed that love by everything we have in life; it's all a gift of God's love.
In order to love others and to become great lovers, we first need to understand and feel how much God loves us. We don't want to just talk about love, read about love, or discuss love, but don't even know what is the real love. we need to experience the love of God.
We need to reach a day when we finally, fully understand how God loves us completely and unconditionally. We need to become secure in the truth that we cannot make God stop loving us.
Once we're secure inside God's unconditional love, we'll start cutting people a lot of slack. We won't be as angry as we've been. We'll be more patient. We'll be more forgiving. We'll be more merciful. We'll give others grace.
But you cannot give to others what we have not received yourself, and so my hope is that, as we learn how much God loves us, we'll also let Him heal our heart so that His love can flow freely through us. It's impossible to love others until wereally feel loved yourself.

Tips to travel to Pulau Tioman from Singapore or JB
Wah... finally i experienced so many procedure by helping my sister to arrange her family trip from singapore to pulau tioman.
Few years back, my trip to pulau tioman with my family is arrange all by my daddy and mummy. So dunno actually there are so many arrangement to be make. There are no any official site that could actually give a details on how to travel to Pulau Tioman.
So, i believe and i feel i can share what need to be done and must be done.
If you plan to travel to Pulau Tioman on an events, like labour day, wesak day and etc, in a public holiday, i advise u to make advance arrangements. If u only arrange when u reach, maybe u could not reach ur destination on the same day.
My sister all the way from singapore, so first of all i help her to book a texi from city square to mersing. I search for few texi number, and i will compare 2 lowest price,k. If through texi center, per texi to reach mersing cost RM180. If through personal texi driver, it's only RM150, which is Rm30 different...(Ah Ping - 012-7217098). He is a chinese texi driver. His price is firm but he wont simply charge u. i believe is still lower than outside.
So, i arrange with this texi driver 3days earlier and told him the pick up point is in city square. The texi driver will fetch u from city square straight to Mersing. Should be around 2hours. Once u reach Mersing, u are safe. Cause u are juz a sea apart from the island. From Mersing, u need to take ferry to Pulau Tioman.
I search the website for any ferry company details, there are many number that are not in use. only 1 Bluewater Express (07-7994811) is still in use... I call to reserve ticket 3 days earlier, praise God, i make early arrangement, cause the ticket is almost finish sold out. The other time slot, the ferry is fully book, left 10.30am and 4.30pm. So i book 10.30am.
2 adult and 2 kids go and return ticket is RM260. i do not know how to calculate. But i believe it is better if u buy on the spot. cause u might be cheated. Few years ago, my parents bought 2 adult 3 kids ferry ticket is RM 1000... wahh... so much. I heard lots of people say, if u reach mersing only buy ticket, there are alot counter, those people will simply and sold u ticket for a higher price, juz because u look so innocent...
So guys, remember, if u wan to travel for a holiday, in terms of budget be wise. Is rather u save up the money and use it on other things. Plan for ur holidays!!
Cheers

Who am I??
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.
Pre-chorus:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
Whom shall I fear?
'Thy I am yours.
I am yours.

Touching story 1 - What God can do with 57 cents?
A sobbing little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it "was too crowded". "I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by. Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class.
The child was so touched that she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus.
Two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings and the parents called for the kind-hearted pastor, who had befriended their daughter, to handle the final arrangements.
As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump. Inside was found 57 cents and a note scribbled in childish handwriting which read, "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday school."
For two years she had saved for this offering of love. When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion. He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.
But the story does not end there! A newspaper learned of the story and published it. It was read by a Realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands of dollars.
When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered it for 57 cents. Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide.
Within five years, the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00 - a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends.
When you are in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300 and Temple University, where hundreds of students are trained. Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of Sunday Schoolers, so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time.
In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history.
Alongside it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russel H. Conwell, author of the book, "Acres of Diamonds".
A true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.
Quote"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."
